Job Numbers

How much do I need to make each week?

Work out the weekly revenue your business needs to cover its costs, pay you what you want, allow for time off and leave room for profit.

What does your business need each year?

Your estimated business expenses for the year, excluding the owner income and profit targets below.
What you'd like the business to generate for you before personal tax.
Profit you'd like left in the business after the amounts above.

How much do you actually want to work?

Your annual targets still need to be covered during the weeks you actually work.

Include holidays or other weeks where you don't expect to generate normal revenue.
How many days you normally expect the business to generate revenue.
Time off still has to be funded. If your business needs to generate $150,000 across the year but you only plan to work 48 weeks, that target needs to be recovered across those 48 working weeks — not spread across all 52.
